Taction Software LLC celebrated Universal Children’s Day & Name Your PC Day
Taction Software LLC. celebrated Universal Children’s Day with its members on 20th November with much fanfare, the eventful day enthusiastically trended with #SelfieWithKids, where the members were asked to shoot a selfie with kids of their choice. The Employee Engagement initiative was celebrated on Friday to mark the coming weekend, The idea was lapped up by the members across the board. The event was launched primarily for internal consumption and Yammer was used as the internal Social Media Channel to share and communicate the Selfies. In a matter of hours of the announcement of the event, Yammer was flooded with Cute, Funny pictures of members with children. The Day proved to be more fun and it gave the members an opportunity to let their hair down and have fun making faces snatching a moment from their busy corporate life <strong>To Become KIDS Again!</strong>
Universal Children’s Day takes place annually on November 20. First proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954, it was established to encourage all countries to institute a day, firstly to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children and secondly to initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world’s children.
This day is observed to promote the objectives outlined in the Charter and for the welfare of children. On November 20, 1959 the United Nations adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. The United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1989 and can be found on the Council of Europe website.
Taction Software LLC recently marked a Friday as #NameYourPC Day, primarily an internal bustle focusing on engaging the members to come up with a name for their PC. NAME YOUR PC DAY, the exercise focused on exploring the creative side of a typical white collar professional who spend many hours in front of his PC, or Laptop to think <strong>OUT OF THE BOX</strong> and comes up with an interesting name for a mundane object that still remains with a boring nomenclature such as System, PC, and MacBook.
The members were asked to post the pictures of the name written on a sticky note stuck over their PC’s. The event was an instant success and found a huge response. Interesting names cropped up from all quarters and soon Yammer, the internal Social Media platform, was full of clever and witty names.
The event was a part of the series of activities planned by the <em>HCM Team</em> for its members to think creatively and encourage them to express themselves freely. #NameYourPC event was much appreciated by all the stakeholders and spilled into personal space and saw the members going home and naming their own home PCs.
Creative Expression found a new venue and the lifeless electronic object was ALIVE & KICKING. Thanks to Tacteam for their enthusiastic participation.
